DONNY’S STORY

No one really knows how Donny ended up in front of a small Orthodox church in rural Serbia. Instead of finding peace and safety there, he faced daily harassment, threats of poisoning, and even threats to his life. All he wanted was a little kindness and a place where he would be accepted, yet he was too often met with misunderstanding and cruelty. Despite everything he has endured, Donny has remained gentle, kind-hearted, and full of trust in people. He carries no bitterness; instead, he continues to give a chance to everyone who approaches him with kindness. Today, Donny is safe with us, but he is still missing the one thing he longs for most—a loving home and a family who will cherish and protect him. Donny deserves the chance to finally find his place in the world, surrounded by people who will never let him down again.
