Requirements to Adopt

Pet Mondo pets are adopted ONLY with the following documents:

  • Signed Pet Adoption Agreement*
  • Pet Passport and Microchip**
  • Pet Mondo Health Record chart***

If you are adopting a puppy under the age of six months who has not yet been altered, you will also be required to sign the Spay/Neuter Agreement.
** Before finishing the adoption process, it is necessary to obtain the “Approval for transferring data from the microchip”. With the change of owner, the veterinarian is obliged to register the change in the Central veterinary database and to enter the new data into the passport of the animal.
*** A health and medical evidence list of all vaccines and medical treatments provided to the pet that is subject of the adoption.

Included with adoption

All of our animals receive medical and behavior evaluations, vaccines, microchip, spay or neuter, felv/fit test for cats (at the discretion of the veterinarian), heartworm preventative, flea and tick preventative, and worm treatment.

Our adoption package also includes:
1. Pre-adoption counseling,
2. Take-home adoption packet (pet food, pet toy and pet treats)
3. ID tag feat. pet name and your phone number
4. Temporary collar
5. Temporary leash or carrier
6. Free post-adoption resources and advice, and
7. A certificate for a free examination at a local veterinary clinic valid for six months after the adoption.
We take care of our pets in the best possible way before and after the adoption.

Adoption is not an easy process. The decision of whether or not to send an animal home is at the discretion of Pet Mondo association. Decisions will be made based on the animal’s best interest.
Requirements to Adopt

To adopt a pet from Pet Mondo, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age with a valid government issued ID;
  • Verify that you are allowed to have a pet of the breed and size where you currently live;
  • Be able to spend the time and resources necessary to provide the training, medical treatment and proper care for your pet;
  • Be available to spend up to an hour with a Pet Mondo representative to discuss the responsibility of owning a pet and making a lifetime commitment;
  • Be able to sign an adoption contract with Pet Mondo prior to taking the pet home;
  • Be able to sign any other relevant documents with Pet Mondo to ensure all the legal requests are met in accordance with the law regulations of Republic of Serbia;
  • Be able to take the pet home on the day of adoption.
